The Jungle Surfing Tour Menu
Set in the pristine Daintree Rainforest at Cape Tribulation, around 2 hours drive north of Port Douglas and 3 hours north of Cairns, the multi award winning Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours take you on a unique rainforest journey where your feet don’t touch the ground!
Jungle Surfing is a series of eco-friendly tree platforms and flying fox zipline cables through the ancient Daintree Rainforest. The fully guided tour is a memorable mixture of exhilaration and education.
You’ll start with the “Human Hamster Wheel” – harnessing the energy of enthusiastic jungle surfers to hoist riders up to the first tree platform. Then you’ll glide through the different levels of the canopy, with bird’s eye views over the treetops, down to bubbling creeks and out to the Great Barrier Reef. The longest span is over 75 metres and the platforms range from 3.5m to 19.5m high, offering an “up-close and personal” experience with nature at her spectacular best, and incredible photo opportunities.
The tour is fully guided – three guides to maximum 13 guests – and no experience is necessary. The guides will share their rainforest wit and wisdom with interpretive talks on each platform and the team uses a unique system to control your flight, making this one of the only flying foxes in the world where you can fly hands-free and carefree. And the flight choice is yours – slow, fast or even upside down if you dare!
One of Queensland’s “must do” experiences, Jungle Surfing is suitable for all ages from three to 103. Tours depart up to twelve times a day from Cape Tribulation or you can join our action packed full day tour from Cairns, Northern Beaches and Port Douglas.

There is so much to see and do when you spend a day in the Daintree.
Are You Staying Overnight in a Cape Tribulation Resort?
Jungle Adventures Night Walks
If you are staying in a Cape Tribulation overnight then you must experience a guided night walk through the rainforest.
Meet the Daintree’s fascinating nocturnal locals in the largest, natural open-air exhibit you’ve ever seen. Many rainforest creatures are nocturnal, so your guide will keep a look out for snakes, lizards, frogs, spiders, bandicoots, birds, insects and more as you learn about the dark side of the forest. Walks follow natural trails, take around two hours and require moderate fitness.

I didn't find jungle surfing scary at all.. a better word would be exhilarating. Definitely the best way to see the rainforest is being above it. The staff were fantastic and I will go again.

Honestly, the best way to do the rainforest. It was very cool being in the canopy. I felt very safe the whole time and my friend who is scared of heights even got up the courage to do this. Nothing like an ice cream at the end of the day to top it all off.
