The Karnak Playhouse is operated by the renowned actress Diane Cilento who won international acclaim in the 1950's and 60's and was nominated for an Oscar for her role as Molly in "Tom Jones" in 1963. She is also noted as being the ex wife of one of the most popular 007 James bond actors

Karnak Gallery Mossman
The Karnak House is the Cafe and Art Gallery located on premises. What better way to spend the day than to sip on a coffee and indulge in freshly baked cakes, have breakfast or nice cafe lunch and view some of the regions best artworks in such a magnificent surround.
The Karnak cafe features food that brings together the regions freshest produce, home baking, and locally grown and produced coffee. The relaxing environment is the ideal backdrop to just take in the stoic surrounds of the rainforest and melt into the backdrop.
While enjoying the regions locally grown coffee, or world famous Daintree Tea, you will notice the tension melting away as you are enveloped in the beautiful serenity that the Karnak Cafe offers guests. The sights and sounds of the rainforest put your soul at ease. The Cakes that are home made and fresh are definitely worth mentioning, they further enhance the experience and are absoutely delectable.
After tea and cakes a trip to the gallery is just the thing to round off the experience, still relaxed from the cafe experience you will take in local art inspired by the beautiful region we call home. All art on display is available for purchase and will make a wonderful conversation piece to most homes.
The Gallery features a wide range of art including jewelry, paintings, photography, and arts and crafts and are available for purchase.
