DAY 1. CAIRNS – QUINKAN ROCK ART – PRIVATE CATTLE STATION

On the first day of our tour, we will begin by traveling inland over the coastal range, stopping at the Palmer River Roadhouse for lunch and a chance to learn about the history of the Palmer River Gold Fields. After lunch, we will visit the Quinkan Rock Art site at Laura, which is recognized by UNESCO as one of the top 10 Rock Art sites in the world. We will spend the night at a private Cattle Station, where you will have the opportunity to experience unique wildlife. Please note that lunch will be at your own cost at the Palmer River Roadhouse.

DAY 2. PRIVATE CATTLE STATION – MORETON TELEGRAPH STATION

On the second day, we will take a scenic 4WD route along the original Old Telegraph Track, passing by the memorial of "Toots," a well-known woman trucker. We will have morning tea at Musgrave and stop for a delicious lunch at the picturesque Archer River before crossing the river. We will then drive through open woodland country and see large termite mounds before arriving at the historic Moreton Telegraph Station. We will spend the night at the campground located at Moreton Station Included meals Breakfast, lunch and Dinner

DAY 3. MORETON STATION – FRUIT BAT FALLS – SEISIA

On the next day, we will embark on another thrilling 4WD adventure and cross multiple creeks as we make our way to the picturesque Fruit Bat Falls. Here, we will have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear, crocodile-free waters of the Elliot River before enjoying a delicious lunch. We will then continue to the Jardine River, named after the pioneering explorers Frank and Alexander Jardine. The Jardine River is the largest on the Cape York Peninsula and known for its crocodile population. We will cross the Jardine River Ferry to reach our final destination of Seisia. We will spend the night at a campground in Seisia, where meals will be provided

DAY 4. SEISIA – ROKO PRIVATE ISLAND – PEARL FARM TOUR

On the fourth day, we will visit a unique family living on a picturesque private island in the Torres Strait. The owner has a legacy of being a pearl producer from the birthplace of the cultured pearl. We will be given a tour of the Island's Pearl Farm, where you will learn about the process of pearl cultivation and the industry. We will enjoy lunch under palm trees on this beautiful island. The pearl farm tour is included, and we will spend the night at the campground in Seisia, where meals will be provided

DAY 5. SEISIA – To the TIP

On the fifth day, we will visit the iconic Croc Tent and take a walk to the TIP, the most northern point of Australia. We will traverse through a variety of landscapes, including savannah woodlands, dense rainforest, and deserted beaches. We will take in the breathtaking views of the Torres Strait and surrounding beaches. Afterwards, we will have an afternoon tea at Somerset Beach, the former home and final resting place of Frank Jardine. We will have the opportunity to visit the historic graves on the beach. We will spend the night at the campground in Seisia, where meals will be provided Included meals Breakfast, lunch and Dinner .

 

DAY 6. SEISIA – ISLANDS TOUR - THURSDAY and HORN ISLAND

On the sixth day, we will embark on a tour of Thursday Island and Horn Island, where we will learn about the rich history and the important role these islands played in the past, including their significance in the war effort and the protection of Australia. We will also learn about the early pearling luggers and the role they played in the industry while taking in the breathtaking views of the Torres Strait and its turquoise waters. In the afternoon, we will return to the Cape York mainland. We will have dinner at Loyalty Beach where you can relax and take in the beauty of the far north ocean side. Dinner tonight will be at your own expense. We will spend the night at the campground in Seisia, where meals will be provided

DAY 7. SEISIA – FRUIT BAT FALLS – BRAMWELL STATION

On our seventh day, we embark on a journey to Fruit Bat Falls to take a dip in the pristine waters that flow from Papua New Guinea. We will then embark on an exciting 4WD adventure, weather and road conditions permitting, to reach Bramwell Station, Australia's northernmost cattle ranch. We will be greeted with a informative talk about the station's history, followed by a delicious home-cooked dinner and live entertainment for the evening.

DAY 8. BRAMWELL STATION – WEIPA

On DAY 8, we'll be leaving Bramwell Station and heading towards Weipa. Along the way, we'll pass through Savannah lands and see massive termite mounds. After reaching Weipa, there will be time for lunch and the option to take a tour of the Weipa mine (at your own cost). We will be staying overnight in Weipa

DAY 9. WEIPA – COOKS HUT (IRON RANGE) - UNIQUE BUSH STYLE ACCOMODATION

Today we embark on an journey towards the East, passing through picturesque cattle country. Along the way we will traverse the largest remaining area of tropical lowland rainforest in Australia, crossing rivers before reaching Iron Range National Park via Tozers Gap. The park is home to rare and unique flora and fauna such as the Palm Cockatoos, Eclectus Parrots, Green Pythons, and the elusive Cuscus. We'll be staying overnight in the unique and rustic bush-style cabins at Cooks Hut.

DAY 10. COOKS HUT – CHILLI BEACH – PORTLAND ROADS – BATAVIA GOLDFIELDS – CHUULANGUN

On this day, you will embark on an exciting journey to explore the natural beauty of Chilli Beach and its captivating ocean views. Along the way, you will also visit historical sites that date back to the gold rush era of the 1930s, as well as the Iron Range Airfield, which played a significant role in World War II. You will have the opportunity to indulge in delicious home-cooked food at the Portland Roads Local Cafe, which overlooks the sea and offers a variety of fresh fish dishes. Afterwards, you will head to the Batavia Goldfields and the Chuulangun homelands, where you will be welcomed by the Traditional Custodians of the Kuki Yu northern Karrju clan group. The Chuulangun homeland offers a serviced campground for visitors to explore the 840,000 hectares of land that encompasses the Wenlock and Pascoe River.

DAY 11. CHUULANGUN – COEN - KALPOWAR

Today we travel to Coen where you can visit the Coen Historical Museum and will be treated to lunch on the banks of the Coen River. After lunch we travel through Lakefield National Park on the same tracks as the mounted mail men did. This National Park is filled with billabongs and river systems alive with wildlife. Stay tonight at Kalpowar crossing located in the Lakefield National Park.

DAY 12. KALPOWAR – COOKTOWN

"After departing Kalpowar, we'll visit the historic Laura Homestead and embark on a thrilling journey down the infamous Battle Camp Road. Along the way, you'll be amazed by the breathtaking wilderness and panoramic views of the Laura escarpments, including remnants of the old railway line that once connected Cooktown to the Palmer River Goldfields. Take a refreshing swim and enjoy a delicious lunch at the picturesque Isabella Falls before continuing on to Hope Vale and eventually to Cooktown. For dinner, you'll have the opportunity to dine at the locally renowned Jackey Jackey Thai restaurant, which is available at your own expense. Our accommodation for the night will be at a historical Queensland-style guesthouse located in Cooktown.

DAY 13. COOKTOWN & SURROUNDS

"Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your accommodation in Cooktown. Today, you will have the unique opportunity to discover the rich history and culture of this fascinating town. Learn about Captain James Cook's accidental visit to the area in 1770, when the HMS Endeavour ran aground on a reef and the crew was forced to repair the ship in the Endeavour River, where they encountered the local Guugu Yimidhirr people. Cooktown was later established in 1873 as a port for the Palmer River Goldfields, and has a rich history of settlement and Indigenous culture. Your guide will take you on a journey through time as you explore the town, sharing stories of its past and helping you to understand the local culture. A visit to the James Cook Museum is a must to gain a deeper understanding of the area's history. After lunch, we'll take a refreshing swim at a secluded waterfall before returning to Cooktown. On the way back, we'll take a stroll around Keatings Lagoon, a wetland teeming with birdlife. Before dinner, we'll catch the sunset over the Endeavour River at the Grassy Hill Lookout. You'll have free time in the evening to enjoy dinner at your own leisure, and your guide will recommend a variety of restaurants for you to choose from

DAY 14. COOKTOWN – BLOOMFIELD TRACK – DAINTREE NATIONAL PARK

"Embark on an adventure today as we travel through Black Mountain and the renowned Bloomfield track (conditions permitting). Make a stop at the historic Lion’s Den Hotel for a photo opportunity and then witness the stunning Bloomfield Falls in Wujal Wujal. Continue on to the untouched rainforest on the Bloomfield Track and make your way through the Daintree Ranges. Enjoy a picnic lunch by Woobadda Creek on the Bloomfield Track. Our tour company has access to a secluded beachfront location on Aboriginal Lands. The evening’s accommodation is in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, in Cape Tribulation, part of the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. You will be treated to a delicious meal and a break from on-road cooking. Stay in stunning, rustic open-plan safari-style homes deep in the pristine jungle. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner on the property overlooking a crystal-clear rainforest creek.

DAY 15. DAINTREE NATIONAL PARK – DAINTREE CROCODILE CRUISE – CAIRNS

"Start your day early with an interpretive rainforest and mangrove walk with your guide. After a delicious cooked breakfast, embark on a crocodile-spotting cruise and search for Estuarine crocodiles and the elusive Cassowary. Take in the stunning mountain views as we make our way to the famous Daintree Ice Creamery (ice cream at your own expense). They specialize in blending ice cream with exotic tropical fruits grown on the farm.
