The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary has been in operation for over 20 years and is the largest butterfly flight aviary in Australia. The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is located at 8 Rob Veivers Drive in Kuranda Village, an hour from Cairns City. Kuranda is a unique ‘Village in the Rainforest’ that boasts an excellent range of alfresco eateries, markets and eclectic boutique shopping. Please advise if coach transfers are necessary when booking your Australian Butterfly Sanctuary experience.
Opening Times
The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm daily (with the exception of Christmas Day).
The complimentary guided tours start at 10:15 am and the last tour is at 3:15 pm. For groups of 10 or more bookings are essential.
